In a news release, Hillsborough County Sheriff’s spokesman Danny Alvarez said that, at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Christmas night, deputies went to a Forbes Road home in Plant City after someone called 911.

Upon arrival, deputies say they found that 82-year-old Guy Vickery had shot his 50-year-old son Benjamin Vickery in the upper body during an argument. Benjamin was taken to South Florida Baptist Hospital, where he died

The Associated Press wrote that authorities haven’t said whether Guy Vickery will be charged, and details are still emerging.
