For Our Future Florida to open St. Petersburg office this evening

Vocal, community-driven political organization For Our Future Florida will open a field office in St. Petersburg Tuesday evening as part of its efforts at "mobilizing voters around the key issues of strengthening public education, advancing social and racial justice, preserving our environment and fighting for working families" as midterm elections draw ever nearer.

The group, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit affiliated with the nationwide For Our Future super PAC, is dedicated to grassroots-style organizing and getting people more politically active, and aware of and involved in a progressive agenda, at the community level. For Our Future Florida has been especially visible in its opposition to legislation passed earlier this year that the org perceived as gutting public education in favor of moving resources into privatization.

The opening of their new local office will be at 5:30 p.m.; the location is 3651 Central Avenue in St. Pete.
