Recently, two friends gave me a “manervention.” They forbid me from becoming friends with a guy I had a crush on in the past because he is currently in a relationship. They suspected that our friendship would not remain innocent. At the very least, they feared I would make his girlfriend jealous. I honestly had no plans of leading this guy into temptation. I really just wanted to be his friend. However, considering how I would feel if my boyfriend became friends with a girl who used to like him, I knew my friends had a point.
