I've written about recycling electronics at designated disposal sites to keep e-waste out of our landfills. Well here's a company that also rescues e-waste from landfills, but what they end up doing with it is just plain cool. Geekware is a company out of Edmonton, Canada, that recycles obsolete electronics found in landfills, and turns them into fun and eclectic jewelry, accessories, notebooks and clocks.
Geekware was created by Nicola Harper, a former professional Waste Management Engineer, who is the brains (and brawn) behind the company. Nicola salvages and cleans the e-waste, then turns it into handmade treasures and even packs up the orders herself. Basically, she is Geekware.
