Sweetwater Organic Community Farm is a rare patch of lush farmland located just five minutes away from the airport. Paid members of the farm enjoy pesticide-free produce along with the sense of camaraderie that comes with supporting an organic farm surrounded by Super Wal-Marts. If you haven't joined the farm, the Sweetwater Sunday Market is the best chance to partake of its harvests. Much of the farm's surplus crop plus other local farmers' foodstuffs are up for sale, including apples, coconuts, mushrooms, home-baked bread and locally-gathered honey. That's not counting the organic coffee, chocolates, homemade jewelry and soap, straw hats and live music. For those who don't want to leave, the farm has a volunteer program that allows you to work the land and sleep on premises for free. Bring a tent. Sundays, Nov. 5-May 31, noon-4 p.m., 6942 W. Comanche Ave., Tampa, free admission, 813-887-4066, www.sweetwater-organic.org.
