In his bio, Chad Cardoza describes himself as a "mixed meidealist," an idealist who produces a range of mixed media, from concert photography and posters, to drawings, pop art paintings and sculptures made of found items. While he doesn't necessarily consider himself an artist, his talents have been recognized and several of his works published in the 2005 book, Swag 2: Rock Posters of the 90's and Beyond. The Bay area artist/skateboarder/scenester displays a collection of originals during his solo show, Member of the Freak Generation. An opening reception with live spins and refreshments begins tonight at 7 p.m. The works are on display through May 13, Transitions Art Gallery at Skatepark of Tampa, 4215 E.
