Former President George W. Bush, a former poster boy for the far right whose actions and policies seem downright moderate these days, is coming to Tampa on Friday to help raise funds for Governor Rick Scott's bid for the U.S. Senate against incumbent Bill Nelson.

The man whose pleasant interaction with former First Lady Michelle Obama not so long ago made a lot of people forget he was a warmongering pawn in Dick Cheney's plutocratic game of thrones will be the main attraction of a luncheon in Tampa, according to the Tampa Bay Times. Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi and local wealthy gentleman Bill Edwards are also among those to be seated at the grown-ups' table. Tickets to the event range from $1,000 to $25K; the location of the luncheon will only be divulged upon RSVP, because, you know — protesters, poor people, elitism, etc.

After what's sure to be a tasty meal and efficacious commingling, Bush will head over to Palm Beach for an equally exclusive "evening reception."
