Governor Rick Scott stopped in Tampa Thursday afternoon to attend the 18th Annual Our Heroes Luncheon, which recognized Tampa Bay first responders at the Tampa Convention Center.
In a closed, VIP only ceremony, Scott symbolically signed House Bill 95, which, if approved, will grant property tax exemptions to the spouses of first responders killed in the line of duty. Sunshine State News reports that the bill was officially signed in a similar ceremony the day before.
