So, you’re cruising Tampa looking for something Christmas-y to do. The kids are restlessly chattering in the back seat, the spouse is embroiled in last-minute shopping, you’ve already surveyed every brilliantly decorated neighborhood you can think of, and now find yourself at a loss for ideas. Rather than heading home in defeat, steer your way to the Henry B. Plant Museum for its 24th Annual Victorian Christmas Stroll. The museum is transformed into the Tampa Bay Hotel of 1891 with a richly decorated tree in each room; lush greenery and decorations draped throughout the Grand Hall; and antique toys, tastefully wrapped packages and imaginative decorations scattered all over the place. Complimentary spiced cider and tasty cookies are served on the veranda each day, and soloists join ensemble groups to perform live music each evening. Through Dec. 23, 10 a.m.-8 p.m. daily, 401 W. Kennedy Blvd., Tampa, $9 adults/$3 children 3-12 (proceeds support the museum’s continued restoration), 813-258-7302, www.plantmuseum.com.
