With about 41,000 Chinese restaurants in the U.S., that means a lot of takeout Chinese food and tons of those paper containers ending up in the trash every year.
Here's a crafty way to recycle those used (washed) Chinese takeout containers and turn them into stylish paper lanterns. They'd make great accents on a dining room table for a dinner party or festive outdoor party lights.
