This past Saturday, June 26, thousands gathered to once again take a stand against offshore and nearshore drilling during the Hands Across the Sand events worldwide.
There were 797 events held in the U.S. and 104 organized outside the U.S., including Kollan, India, and Auckland, New Zealand (see photos below).
6,850 people from around the Tampa Bay area showed up at the 26 locations in Pinellas and Hillsborough.
