Although it's doubtful any of this is actually positive for his chances, the Democratic party establishment is coming out strongly today in dismissing any suggestions that they'd prefer that Kendrick Meek drop out of the three way U.S. Senate race with Marco Rubio and Charlie Crist.
The Daily Beast is reporting this afternoon that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's aide, Jim Manley, is completely pooh-poohing that now infamous Stephen Moore/WSJ blog post from last week that Meek was discussing with Crist officials dropping out of the race, where he remains in third place.
"Another in a series of fantasies concocted by the founder of the Club for Growth and columnist for The Wall Street Journal," Manley said of the author, Stephen Moore, in an email. "It simply did not happen. Also, I emailed him after seeing the piece online to tell him that what he said about Reid was wrong and he did not give me the courtesy of a response."
