For about a month now, local small businesses looking to cash in on the 2012 Republican National Convention have been visiting the websites of the cities of Tampa and St. Petersburg, and of Hillsborough and Pinellas counties, to learn about eligibility requirements and obtain applications.
Those businesses have until the end of this month to fill out the paperwork to be eligible for the convention.
In mid-January the RNC will begin to accept applications at their Small Business Network Forum, where businesses can register and potentially bid on available contracts (the actual date has yet to be announced).
In Clearwater this Wednesday, Pinellas County is making available business counselors and notaries to help out with the application process. That will take place at the offices of Pinellas County Economic Development at the EpiCenter, 13805 58th St. North, Suite 1-200, Clearwater, 33760, from 3 to 5 p.m.
