Next Saturday, May 11, is The National Association of Letter Carriers’ (NALC) Stamp Out Hunger food drive. This means you don’t even have to leave your driveway to do good.

Be on the lookout for a Farm Share bag left in your mailbox, fill it with non-perishable foods, and leave the bag next to your mailbox before the regular mail delivery on Saturday, May 11. Letter carriers and volunteers will collect donations.

The items will be distributed throughout the Tampa Bay area, and throughout Florida, to feed those in need, for free.

“The Farm Share team is thrilled to partner with Stamp Out Hunger for the second year in a row to help our neighbors throughout the state of Florida,” said Farm Share Chief Operating Officer Stephen Shelley in a recent statement.

Last year’s Stamp Out Hunger collected more than 10 million pounds of food in Florida, continuing its status as the top state for cans collected over the last decade. In that same year, Farm Share delivered more than 55 millions pounds of food to more than 17.5 million households.

Dig through your pantry for those beans you'll never make, or grab a few non-perishable items next time you're grocery shopping. Wasn't "doing more for your community" one of your resolutions?
