We made it! One last look back before it's time for lunch beers:
Once again, it has been zero days since a teenager was arrested for making threats against a Bay area school. This time it was a 13-year-old kid in Hillsborough who's already been arrested once for having a loaded gun on school property. I'm all for second chances, but this one's starting to look like a perfect candidate for shipment to that island in the original Battle Royale.
A Clearwater man was arrested after a truly epic crime spree during which he stole a truck from a dealership, crashed it multiple times, ran from the scene of the final crash, burglarized several homes in a gated community (taking a nanny hostage in the process), stole a motorcycle, and burglarized another occupied home before being taken into custody "without incident." Seems to me "without incident" doesn't really accurately reflect the nature of the, uh, multiple incidents.
The Florida Bar is apparently investigating the "Stand Your Ground" shooter's attorney, to try to determine whether or not she solicited the defendant. Solicitation, as you know, is a violation of lawyerly ethics that all lawyers commit.
And finally, drones are apparently falling from the sky now. If you lost yours somewhere over South Tampa, this family off Lois Avenue would love to get together with you.
