Milton slammed into Florida late last night as a Category 3 hurricane, leaving quite a few roads and highways littered with debris, broken power lines and more.

As of now, local authorities would like residents to withhold from driving unless it’s an emergency, in order to allow first responders and line crews to move quickly throughout Tampa Bay.

According to a 9:30 a.m. update, Hillsborough County has most major bridges open at the moment, but there are still some high-traffic roads that are closed. Be sure to check hcfl.gov for the most update info as roads reopen.

Over in Pinellas County, the best way to check for road closures is via fl511.com, Pinellas County Public Works also shares all road closure updates through the Waze app.

This morning the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) said that as of 8:45 a.m. access to the entire county—including the barrier islands—is open. PCSO urged drivers to use caution, especially at intersections with non-functioning traffic signals.
