Reacting to media reports that have surfaced over the past 48 hours, the Hillsborough Board of County Commissioners on Wednesday agreed to begin a fact finding investigation regarding County Attorney Renee Lee's recent lunch with former County Commissioner Kevin White at their next scheduled meeting on June 2.
The reason for the concern is that the lunch occurred at the same time that the county is suing White for his inability to pay his legal bills regarding his sexual harassment lawsuit that occurred in August of 2009. White was later found guilty, and after the board sued him for his failure to pay his legal costs, he has since filed his own suit against the county.
