Good morning! Hopefully you are reading this on your phone while waiting to vote. If you’re in Pinellas and need a ride to the polls, PSTA is giving ’em away.
Speaking of voting. Hillsborough County broke records in early voting for today’s primary, with turnout reportedly already topping the total number of ballots cast in the 2014 primary. Nothing gets out the vote quite like “this guy’s corrupt, dumb and incompetent,” except maybe “no, you are.”
A 48-year-old man called an Uber in Bradenton and then tried unsuccessfully to carjack the driver with his bare hands right in front of a sheriff’s deputy, then immediately crashed the car twice before being tased while fleeing on foot. You can see why, even though he managed to get control of the car, we’re going with “unsuccessfully” in this case.
And finally, we’ve said it before but it bears repeating: We don’t care how middle-aged, cantankerous and stupid you are, you don’t get to point your gun at a group of kids just because they’re playing their music too loud. On second thought, that really shouldn’t need to be said in the first place.
