The historic Vinoy Renaissance Resort & Golf Club in downtown St. Petersburg was sold to SCG Hospitality LLC last week, and now we've got an idea of how much it cost.

SCG — a group led by Tampa Bay Buccaneers co-owner and chairman Bryan Glazer — announced the transaction on Aug. 29 but it did not disclose a sales price.

Now the TBBJ is reporting that the group paid $512,000 per key for the 362-room historic Vinoy, taking the price tag to $188.5 million. If you're wondering: Yes, that's on the high end of what luxe hotels are going for these days.

By comparison, the Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach sold for just under $500,000 per key in 2016, according to the article.

I wonder if there's a Groupon (or CL Deal) for that.
