The politics of national security were once again the focus on the Sunday morning national television programs yesterday, and Attorney General Eric Holder was shipped out for the first time to discuss where the Obama administration is on a variety of issues. Holder said that the case of Faisal Shahzad, the Pakistani born man who tried to blow up Times Square last week, has him thinking about changing who gets Miranda rights;
Rick Scott is still a long shot to upset Bill McCollum in the Florida GOP gubernatorial primary, but a lot of people are now paying attention to his candidacy after his somewhat stunning placement in a recent Mason-Dixon poll published Saturday;
And we knew somewhat was up when Bob Buckhorn advised his friends on Facebook on Friday afternoon that if they wanted "change in Tampa" to check him out on Bay News 9 yesterday morning. We did, and learned that the former Tampa City Councilman has declared his candidacy for mayor of Tampa next year.
