Contestants and their canine counterparts earn points for tricks ranging from simple throws to astounding aerial acrobatics in the 2006 Hyperflite Skyhoundz Canine Disc Southeast Regional Championship. Yes, dogs chasing Frisbees are just as entertaining and definitely more adorable than your typical ball-chasing, overpaid muscleheads. The difference is that the human athletes aren't eager to mingle and rub noses with their fans, and I can guarantee you can't get away with petting one — not without getting punched in the face, anyway. Novice and veteran competitors, mixed-breed and purebred canines — no one's excluded in this battle for the title of Regional Champion. Top finishing teams in Freestyle, Pairs, MicroDog and Distance/Accuracy receive invitations to compete at the World Championships in Atlanta in September.
