OWN, Oprah's TV network, premiered two new transgender-friendly documentary specials yesterday: Being Chaz and I Am Jazz: A Family in Transition. Being Chaz is the follow-up to last year's documentary about Chaz Bono, Becoming Chaz, focusing less on Bono's transition and more on his life as a trans man. I Am Jazz focuses on the life of an 11-year-old transgender girl — who has been raised as a girl since she was a toddler — her family, and friends, as they mull over the possibility of hormone blocking therapy.
