Every month, Tampa Museum of Art young professionals group Avant Garde hosts a creative event featuring live music and entertainment, tasty hors d'oeuvres, libations, and an exhibit of works by local artists. December's Art After Dark event, "Inside/Out," is organized and curated by photographer/writer/musician Mitzi Gordon. The psychedelic- and surrealist-themed paintings, drawings, sculptures, photographs and mixed-media works showcase the talents of more than 20 Bay area artists, among them, P$YNNER, Ryan Prado, Bradley Paul Valentine, Kate Whatley, Chad Cardoza, Carol Cleere and Doug Taylor. Other amusements include live music by psych-rockers The Vera Violets, interactive photo shoots, live painting demos, performance art and video projections.
