A 52-year-old employee of the city of Indian Rocks Beach, Errol Sylvester Gray, was arrested on Wednesday after he allegedly assaulted two coworkers and drove a city truck at four others.

According to the Tampa Bay Reporter, Gray became angry yesterday morning when told at a meeting at City Hall he was being fired from his job at the city's Public Service Department, and battered two coworkers, one of whom was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. He then left the building, got into a city-owned truck and left the parking lot before making a U-turn and heading directly toward four women who were standing out front. The women retreated into the building without injury.

Deputies caught up with Gray on Gulf Boulevard. He was reportedly "uncooperative" upon being detained, but did apparently tell the cops he had intended to ram the truck into the City Hall building.

Gray was charged with Aggravated Assault with a Motor Vehicle, Battery, Aggravated Battery and Resisting an Officer without Violence.
