Part of the punishment the Republican National Committee enforced against the Republican Party of Florida for circumventing the primary process this year was a loss of half of its delegates to the convention.
But that wasn't the only penalty Reince Priebus and company unleashed on the RPOF to express its displeasure by holding its primary in January.
When the delegations learned of their housing for the convention, the Florida Republicans were shocked, absolutely shocked, that the party leaders kept their word and shipped them out to the Innisbrook Resort in Palm Harbor, a beautiful facility, but one 25 miles away from the Tampa Bay Times Forum, one of the furthest locations for a delegation in the entire Bay area.
Innisbrooke is noted for its golf resort, and today the hotel announced that to honor the spirit of the convention, they will be renaming each of its famed Copperhead Course's18 holes for the last 18 elected GOP presidents, beginning with Abe Lincoln.
