Tampa Democrat Julie Jenkins opened a campaign account Thursday to challenge Toledo this year in Hillsborough County’s House District 60, according to the state Division of Elections website.
Toledo, who was first elected to the seat in 2016, had raised $196,707 for her 2020 campaign as of Nov. 30, a finance report shows. She received 52.3 percent of the vote as she held off Democrat Debra Bellanti and won a second term in 2018.
