Jason Green, a licensed architect and LEED AP, serves as St. Petersburg College’s Sustainability Coordinator. The St Petersburg College Office for Sustainability works to incorporate sustainable values and practices into the global culture of the college and that of its stakeholders through environmentally focused continuing and higher education programs, energy and natural resource conservation, sustainable campus building design, carbon emission reduction, and recycling.

Green is charged with implementing various sustainable practices, including: integrating social and environmental responsibility into college-wide strategic forecasting; advising in the development of sustainable degree programs; coordinating the responsibilities of the "Green Team"; working to promote sustainability-focused continuing education workshops and seminars; researching and advising on sustainable building materials; assisting in the development of a greenhouse gas inventory; developing a college-wide climate action plan; coordinating implementation of college-wide recycling and developing sustainability practices, activities and outreach with students, faculty, and staff.

Additionally, Green teaches Architectural Design Studio at the college and is a member of the Florida Gulf Coast Chapter of the United States Green Building Council and the Florida Green Building Coalition.
