Don your freaky holiday best and dance this Saturday night away during the Hallucination Before Christmas party at Czar. Presented by Hallucination Recordings — a Tampa-based label representing a diversity of electronica artists — the ninth annual art and music extravaganza and canned food drive fuses elements of Christmas and Halloween into a smorgasbord of good time holiday fun. In the Imperial Theater (aka Jack's Christmas Graveyard and Pumpkin Patch), the cast of DJs include Brooklyn's Jesus-hairy Tommie Sunshine, former Rabbit in the Moon dreadhead Monk, NYC's Three, Tampa-Miami experimenter Una Slim, and Seattle industrialite Ryle. Several other DJs are also represented, with additional entertainment offered by Tiny Bitch and the Sinful Dance Company, "Hallucination on Film" holiday-themed visuals that are projected onto three massive screens, and a Hallucination Generation art show featuring installations, paintings, prints and graphics by Drone and other Hallucination Family artists and guests. Finally, a pimped-out Santa hands out thousands of gifts from Hallucination, party sponsors and industry friends. Assume your alternate personality and wreak some holiday havoc. Sat., Dec. 15, 9 p.m.-3 a.m., 1420 E. Seventh Ave., Ybor City, $20 general/$15 with three canned food donations for America's Second Harvest, hallucinationbeforechristmas.com.
