The video for "Hold On," the lead single off Scottish singer/songwriter KT Tunstall's new album Drastic Fantastic, finds the plucky pop star donning flashy shades, plugging in her guitar and then jumping into a time warp: sepia-tone juke joint; what looks to be an '80s video shoot; some sorta ABBA homage; a contemporary nightclub setting; and then a scene of break dancing. As disjointed as it seems, the imagery actually befits the song, which is a grabby blend of jump-blues, disco and modern pop. 3.5 stars
