Not a huge fan of Kenny Chesney's combination of Jimmy Buffett beach bummery and hair metal-infused party anthems but might have to attend the show just to catch opener Miranda Lambert (pictured). She's the rare Nashville star who keeps it real with songs that would make Loretta, Dolly and Emmylou smile in approval.
Kenny Chesney w/Miranda Lambert, Aug. 29, Ford Amphitheatre, Tampa, $80 (reserved), $41.75 (lawn), tickets go on sale 10 a.m., Sat., June 14.
Incidentally, LeAnn Rimes was originally scheduled to open.
Here's Lambert performing her self-penned ballad "Desperation."
