Kevin "That's news to me" Nealon has always been my favorite Saturday Night Live alumni. He has the sort of pleasantly blank face that's ideal for deadpan humor, and as the longest-running cast member of SNL, his dry wit and great sense of timing were continuously featured in skits like "Weekend Update," "Mr. No-Depth Perception," "Subliminal Message Man" and, of course, "Pumping Up with Hans and Franz." Nealon has built upon his successful SNL career with various feature film and television roles, most recently and popularly in Showtime's Emmy-nominated comedy series about suburbia, Weeds. (Nealon plays pot-smoking accountant and ex-city councilman Doug Wilson, a laid-back businessman who sucks down pot lollipops and cheeches out his mini-van as casually as he gives financial advice.) Like most of the comics-turned-actors before him, Nealon has never strayed far from his stand-up roots, and you can see him perform live this Friday night at Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center. Fri., Dec. 15, 7:30 p.m., Ferguson Hall-TBPAC, 1010 N. MacInnes Place, downtown Tampa, $20-$35.50, 813-229-7827, tbpac.org.
