Fans of Last Comic Standing already know the hilarious Michele Balan, whose persona is a cross between Jewish mother and New York truck driver. She shares the bill this evening with Scott Silverman, who may be the only "39-year-old partnered Buddhist" gay stand-up comic on the circuit, and transgender comic Ian Harvie, who, according to his website, grew up on Beaver Pond in rural Maine — and you know there's a joke in there somewhere. After the show, have a few more laughs at the Georgie's Alibi after-party. Fri., June 29: Laughter in Paradise, 7:30-10 p.m., USF-St. Petersburg Student Activities Center, 140 Seventh Ave. S., $25 (to benefit USF Gay/Straight Alliance and St Pete Pride); and Georgie's Alibi After Laughter Party, 10 p.m.-2 a.m., 3100 Third Ave. N., St. Petersburg.
