We are all well aware of the possibilities available for the use of sunlight. It can be readily converted into electricity through a variety of cells and it can also serve as a super efficient heater for water and air. For example, there are millions of people with solar hot water heaters that supply them with all of their domestic needs. There are also many people who obtain a huge amount of their electrical service through PV (photovoltaic panels) mounted to their buildings.
Researchers have also discovered systems that have a great deal more potential than the plates and panels already widely in use. For instance, in Israel there is the worlds largest solar dish and this has led to some major discoveries in more effectively using the energy created by the sun. In fact, the scientists and engineers working in the Negev Desert have realized a method that is around one thousand times more effective than the average flat panel. Just consider the implications of this technology when it has been refined to the point of commercial release!
