You recently moved out of your shop [Ramblin’ Rose Upcycle] and operate without a store now. How is that going?
I love it. It’s so much better. I’m actually making more money, partly because there’s less overhead. … The St. Pete Indie Market has become a full-time thing and I have a spot at Bloom Art Center during events or by appointment.
What’s the latest look you’ve been working on?
It’s a floral print collection. I’ve been shortening long dresses and making them more wearable, adding different types of stitching.
Is Sean Williams your … boyfriend?
Yes. The fact that we have the same last name throws everyone off!
How long have you been together? What does he do?
Four years. He’s a tattoo artist at Amulet.
Do you have any other sweethearts?
I have a dog named Oliver! He is almost 2 and is a golden retriever/Great Pyrenees mix.
Do you get hit on a lot?
Once in a while. It’s really awkward. Someone will usually compliment my outfit and I’ll immediately say I have a baby and a husband. When I was pregnant, I got hit on. They’d say, “I don’t mind.” They would literally say that.
Can you tell us a a little about your daughter?
Her name is Luella. She’s 1 1/2…. She’s wilder than we expected! Motherhood has been much more challenging and more amazing than I ever thought it would be.
What dessert do you lust after?
Skillet Ghirardelli’s Brownie from Urban Brew and BBQ.
Where else do you like to go?
Banyan Cafe … Bodega — I love having a Cuban and beer — and Locale for groceries.
Are you a homebody mom or are you going out at night again?
“I just started to feel like we [she and Luella] were one entity, but she’s becoming her own person now and I’ve been back to my old self. So, I go out once every two weeks. … I like to go to The Bends.”
Ramblin’ Rose Upcycle will be at a pop-up after dark edition of St. Pete Indie Market at the Bends in downtown St. Pete on Sat., Feb. 21, 5-10 p.m.
