Christmas is a week away, but if the photo they sent to media outlets is any indication, Metropolitan Ministries is desperately low on toys for thousands of needy the children the nonprofit serves.

There are some 11,300 kids slated to receive 22,600 toys between now and Dec. 25, but the donations just aren't coming in this year.

In particular, MetroMin said they're lacking gifts for girls aged 2 to 12 as well as boys and girls aged 13-17.

Donors can bring toys to the downtown Tampa drop-off site at 905 Governor St. (west of the intersection of Nebraska Avenue and East Cass streets). Find other drop-off locations here

They also accept cash donations via their website, and note that all cash donations will be matched up to $50,000 in Hillsborough (and up to $10,000 in Pasco and Pinellas counties).

You can also pick a gift via their store website.
