Say goodbye this weekend to Daylight Savings Time, and not a day too soon.  Speaking for those of us who have activities in the morning, I for one will be thankful it won't be dark until 7:20 a.m.  You may recall Congress changed the law in 2005 to give us four more weeks of daylight at night, 3 weeks  in the spring and an extra week in the fall.  I call on the John Boehner Congress to repeal this law.

Speaking of Republicans taking over, how about that John Mica? The once and future Transportation Committee head has never been a fan of the Tampa-Orlando high speed rail route, but his comments earlier this week really freaked some people out about ending the whole thing now.

And three Hillsborough County Commissioners said goodbye yesterday to their terms in office.  Well, two out of three did.

The anger amongst Democrats after Tuesday night's debacle has led to the creation of a website called Fire Karen Thurman Now.
