Well after seeing and hearing so many GOP debates over the past month, it was refreshing for CL to venture down to St. Petersburg last night to hear some local candidates discuss issues pertaining to their beautiful city. Last night at Kenwood High School, the issue that brought forth the most discord was on red-light cameras.

CL spoke to Florida House Republican Brad Drake on Tuesday. You may have heard of him, since he's getting lots of press attention for his bill to bring back firing squads as a method of executing death row prisoners.

Well Herman Cain is now tops on the leader board for the GOP nomination for President, at least according to a WSJ/NBC News poll. But lots of his appeal apparently doesn't have much to do with his signature '9-9-9' plan, which isn't impressing some economists.

And Marie Tillman, wife of Pat Tillman, the most famous U.S. serviceman killed in the war in Afghanistan, comes to be part of a discussion on the USF Tampa campus on Friday night.
