While the anti-Wall Street protests in Lower Manhattan continue to garner national attention,including the lead story in our own St. Petersburg Times today, one story you haven't read in the Times yet is Tampa's own rally that happened on Saturday, called Occupy Tampa. Luckily our Arielle Stevenson was there and files this report.
We did some reporting of own this weekend that we'd like to send your attention to: that is a campaign fundraising letter sent out by one of Hillsborough County Commissioner Kevin Beckner's Republican opponents in 2012 – this letter accusing the relatively moderate Democrat's "San Francisco liberal agenda" that he supposedly is trying to push through in this rather conservative county.
And while there was a whole lotta yakking about what Chris Christie is going to do regarding a possible presidential candidacy, relatively little air time was spent on Sunday on the networks on the whether there are any legal ramifications of the U.S. government's dropping a drone strike on the head of Anwar al-Awlaki.
