It finally feels like late fall in Florida this morning, and it's certainly a cold, harsh beginning of the day for Mitt Romney supporters in the Sunshine State.
Last week we looked somewhat askance at a series of polls in the early voting states (including Florida) that showed Newt Gingrich up substantial over Romney. Today two major new polls released showed that ain't a mirage – Gingrich (for now) has become the choice for Republicans who can't get behind the former Massachusetts Governor.
A new Quinnipiac survey has Scott back down in the low 30's this morning. The Governor announced his proposed budget for FY 2012-2013, which included one particular hilarious exchange.
Hillsborough County Commissioners yesterday approved looking into possibly using tourist tax dollars to promote the county as the Republican National Convention approaches. Both Democrats on the panel supported that proposal – but only if certain safeguards were implemented in the distribution of such funds.
And merchants from over 100 Ybor City business establishments came together yesterday afternoon at the Ritz nightclub to form a new neighborhood crime watch team.
