Happy Presidents' Day, everyone. Hope you're enjoying it so far.
The race for president has been in a bit of an interregnum. We're still eight days away from the next primary election, but the narrative has certainly changed from Florida's big presidential primary of three weeks ago, hasn't it? Mitt Romney looked like the sure nominee after that contest. Now more and more conservatives are still pining for someone else to get into the race.
Rick Santorum had some more provocative comments over the weekend. Though some pundits think his emphasis on social issues makes him a less viable general election candidate, some conservatives think the emphasis on those issues is what will bring the election home for Republicans this year.
And pitchers and catchers report to Port Charlotte today for the first day of spring training for the Tampa Bay Rays. Over the weekend we caught a news story about a potential new baseball park for the team, that unfortunately, didn't contain any news.
