Hello, everyone.

Good to be back here after nearly a week of no new posts, having spent a long weekend in Southern California attending the Coachella Music Festival along with 75,000 other folks. I'll post a review of the show before the end of the week.

Little sleep and a whole lot of standing and walking around (three-day music festivals can be intense) meant I returned to Tampa yesterday with a bad case of the flu. Yesterday afternoon was the deadline for Americans to file their tax returns. In the Obama age, the day has been used by Tea Party groups to get their message out, but yesterday throughout Florida it was liberal groups calling for serious tax reform who hit the streets.

And a Palestinian theater director will be speaking throughout the Tampa Bay area this weekend about using theater as a form of resistance. Read more about him here in a piece contributed by Doris Norrito.
