With the RNC upcoming in four months, there's no doubt that some of the delegates (if not reporters and maybe even some protesters?) may partake in what Tampa is best known for — its adult nightclubs. But it's Orlando that Men's Health says is the nation's horniest city. But Tampa comes out 7th in the report.
Although the media loves to focus on what's happening with the Tampa Bay Rays and their quest for a new ballpark, the short answer is there isn't any news, as the team is hoping to continue to perform well on the field and do better at the box office in 2012. It's been too quiet for Hillsborough County Commissioner Ken Hagan, however, who rallied his colleagues yesterday to support his call for the county's attorney to look into the legality of having discussions with the Rays about a new park.
And though we're still two and a half years away from Florida's next gubernatorial election, it's never too early for a Democrat to announce that their goal is to remove Rick Scott from office. Yesterday it was South Florida state Senator Nan Rich declaring that she will declare her official candidacy for the Democratic nomination later this year.
