Happy Friday to you and what promises to be a slightly less humid weekend.
Anybody out there into the NBA playoffs? The first round of games haven't been stellar, but it's now starting to get exciting. And now we've got a couple of game 7's taking place this weekend. The cool thing about the NBA lockout is that the playoffs now will go deeper into June. Last night's Chicago-Philly game was sort of thrilling, even though it wasn't necessarily high caliber.
Okay, on to the news. How about Bill Nelson? He's a guy that nobody seems to be wild about, but if you had to predict today, he would be headed back to Washington for a third six-year term in the Senate. And what about this report that he asked the CIA to be waterboarded, but was denied that experience?
How about the Republican who wants to knock the 69-year-old Nelson out of office?
After Connie Mack sent out a campaign, er information mailer to tens of thousands of people who are not his constituents but could be possible primary voters in his race for the GOP nomination for Senate, chief opponent George LeMieux pounced, and is keeping up the pressure.
