The Tampa City Council is expected to vote for a second and final time on what Bob Buckhorn's administration is calling "The Event Zone," the list of regulations for those who will be protesting during this summer's Republican National Convention. Norm Roche continues to be a wildcard who has the love of Tea Party members over in Pinellas County. On Tuesday night, he went off on Sheriff Bob Gualtieri about the Safe Harbor homeless shelter, as CL contributor Nicole Martinez reports.

Dick Lugar may not be the only 80-year plus incumbent in Congress vulnerable this year. Pinellas Democrats certainly hope that's the case this year in the congressional contest. CL caught up with one of those candidates, Nina Hayden, at her campaign kickoff fundraiser Tuesday night.

Hillary Clinton will be in Tampa next week. As her intense legions of supporters are fantasizing about a White House run in four years, she says she has no plans to do any public service in 2013, which would theoretically mean she would reject any request for her to become the president's running mate, if that possibility would ever occur.
