- Though I love narrative writing (and have taught it at the college level), I often take reporters to task for misusing it. This story of a strange death, on the other hand, nails it, even though the nut graf is sooooo deep in the tale that it defies belief. From Thomas Lake, one of the New Narrativistas over at the St. Petersburg Times (a group that includes Ben Montgomery, whose Gangrey blog includes many posts from himself and Lake.)
