Stuff you have to read this AM:
- Hillsborough County's proposed sprawlway gets a positive spin from the Tampa Tribune's transportation writer and a bit more questioning coverage in the Times, which includes the news nugget that Commissioner Tom Scott knew about this plan for a year and didn't let the public in on it. (Contrast the Trib's unblinking story with its anti-sprawl editorial yesterday.)
- Jeff Testerman's exclusive on rising salaries at the Hillsborough Supervisor of Elections Office.
- The consistently excellent real estate coverage of Shannon Behnken in the Trib continues today with another piece about condo dumping.
- Miami Herald on four more staffers leaving Team Katherine Harris.
- In the first local blog editorial endorsement I've seen, Seminole Heights blog is touting Rose Ferlita for Hillsborough County Commission.
- State of Sunshine's useful list of local candidate websites has been updated.
- PEER Review's piece on Sen. Hillary Clinton voting to allow offshore drilling off the Florida Gulf Coast.
- The anonymous GrapeFruitBlog says polling shows Ronda Storms beating Republican opponent Sandy Murman in their east Hillsborough race for the Florida Senate â by 37 points. CAUTION: GrapeFruit doesn't reveal the pollster, who paid for it, how it was conducted, and the questions asked, so take this with a large grain of salt.
