Made up of students who get scholarships for their activities, the Tamburitzans of Duquesne University is among the country’s longest-running multicultural music and dance troupes. A new production is staged each tour and features the folk-infused sights and sounds of Eastern Europe and its neighboring cultures, the performances marked by 400 or so vivid costumes, fancy footwork, and songs sung in many languages and dialects.
