Activists in St. Petersburg have been attempting to draw attention to Duke Energy's record so far in Florida of not offering much of any forms of alternative energy sources to their customer base. A television ad now airing in Orlando and in Charlotte, North Carolina (where Duke is based) takes the energy company to task for failing to highlight the use of solar power.
The ad debuts on the day of Duke Energy’s annual shareholder meeting. It's produced by two groups, Presente.org and The Other 98%.
