A new seafood-focused restaurant from the people behind Bern’s Steak House is coming to South Tampa.
This morning, Bern’s Steak House Group announced new details surrounding its latest endeavor, Peddler + Potter Oyster House, which will take over the Haven space at 1002 S Howard Ave.
“As we looked at the long-term future of the property, it became clear this was the right moment to bring Peddler + Potter to life, a concept I’ve been developing for years,” said Haven executive chef Chad Johnson in a press release.
Also helmed by Johnson, Peddler + Potter Oyster House will center around an open kitchen concept with a robust raw bar focusing on Florida oysters, and a constantly changing daily seafood menu, according to a press release.
No exact opening date was provided, but Peddler + Potter Oyster House is slated to open sometime in fall 2027.
“It’s a bittersweet moment for many of us, as Haven has been home to so many incredible memories and played such an important role in shaping how we think about food and hospitality,” continued Johnson. ” We’re excited to share something new with Tampa while honoring everything that Haven has meant to our team and our guests.”
Haven first debuted in what was the former SideBern’s space in March of 2015, and quickly became a well-loved South Tampa staple. If you want to say goodbye, Haven will celebrate its final day of service on Thursday, May 21.
