Problematic athletic apparel company Nike announced it would not renew problematic athlete Jameis Winston's endorsement contract. Don't you wish you had a job where allegations of groping a woman against her will just meant you didn't have to show up for work for a couple of days?
The SunPass "fix" continued to get worse — some 133 million transactions were reportedly still backlogged, though the company pledged to help customers deal with banking fees related to not knowing how much fucking money they have in their accounts because the company screwed the pooch so badly. Growing pains, etc.
SATURDAY, AUG. 4:
Red tide is encroaching on Bay area waters. Gross. Between that and the Okeechobee algae, we should be good to go for tourist season in the fall.
SUNDAY, AUG. 5:
And finally, a veritable who's who of prominent political figures, including perennial media opportunist Reverend Al Sharpton, participated in anti-Stand Your Ground protests in the wake of the shooting of Markeis McGlockton outside of a Clearwater convenience store. Outrage is the new national pastime.
